Responsibilities:
As an HR Employee Relations Specialist you will be directly responsible for the implementation of human resources policies, programs and procedures for assigned client group(s), as well as provide advice, guidance, and coaching to line management and employees on employee relations issues for assigned client group located in our Livermore, CA corporate office. In addition, this position will respond to escalated employee relations matters or serve as second review for the field HR Managers as may be requested or required.
This HR professional will respond to employee concerns, and complaints, as well as manager needs for support in situations involving employee performance, behavior, attendance, complaints, terminations or other issues. Conducts appropriate discussions, investigations, counseling sessions, provides appropriate guidance and makes appropriate referrals as deemed necessary. Provides guidance on employment law, company policies, practices and procedures. Partners with the various HR functions to ensure that employee issues are resolved.

The key to this position is experience working with Leave of Absence (LOA), High volume, Ability to plan, investigate and report or document findings stemming from issues, and being able to make sound decisions. The point of contact.

oInvestigate issues appropriately to identify root causes. Recommend approaches to take in response to issues, prepares applicable documentation. Escalates issues to HR Manager/Director as appropriate.
oResponsible for developing, tracking and managing all documentation, notifications, correspondence, administration details, files, etc. are completed, processed, and files retained applicable for activity type as required in accordance with company process, policy and applicable Federal and State laws.
oReviews involuntary termination and disciplinary decisions for fairness, consistency, and potential legal liability. Conducts investigations in response to internal complaints and facilitates compliant resolution.
oContributes to ideas and projects to develop employee relations programs, initiatives and training.
oConducts exit interviews and terminations for client area. Represents Performant at unemployment and other hearings.
oMaintains appropriate documentation and identifies employee relation issue trends, and provides analysis/feedback to management. Develops strategies and interventions that meet the clients' needs, may work closely with other functional HR departments for problem resolution.

Physical Requirements:
oAble to work in a fast paced environment for extended periods of time, 8-12 hours/day

oLift/carry/push/pull under and over 10lbs occasionally
oKeying frequency, handling, reaching, fine manipulation

oTravel may be required to other office locations occasionally.
Education and
Experience:
oBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology or related, or the equivalent in related work experience.
oPHR or SPHR preferred
oFive or more years directly related experience in similar role, demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
oDemonstrated knowledge of Federal and State Leave Laws, and how they work together.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
