Position OverviewThe SBA Loan Processing Manager will manage all processing and closing functions of SBA loans.
The Manager will provide leadership and guidance to ensure Bank follows all the Bank and SBA guidelines and requirements.
The Manager oversees the workflow of staff to ensure department service level agreements are achieved, adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations, and supports department continuous process improvements.
Role and Responsibilities Oversee all activities and reporting of processing and closing SBA loans Build out and manage a team of SBA loan processors and may occasionally assign themselves to close loans Manage the workflow of the processing team centered upon efficiency, timeliness, and quality in efforts toward maximizing the client experience Provide support as an SBA processing subject matter expert in documentation, guidelines, procedures, policies, and industry best practices Ensure the loan processing, packaging, and closing functions are in compliance with bank policies, procedures, and SBA requirements Reviews the quality of the loan closing file ensuring documentation in the file adheres to bank and SBA requirements Facilitates communication with SBA via Etran, direct submissions, or directly with SBA Officials Provide support in review of documentation specific to loan closing such as title, appraisal, purchase agreements, leases, bank statements, and entity documentation adhering to bank and SBA requirements Exercise independent decisions regarding compliance with Bank and SBA requirements and communicates independently to the SBA Director and/or SBA Officials in seeking resolutions Oversee and monitor the timely resolution of closing-related loan exceptions and post-closing ticklers Collaborate with the secondary market team to ensure loan sale activities are successful and timely Address/resolve exception items noted from Loan Review/Audits Manages third-party vendor relationships, as appropriate and as required by SBA Director Update and maintain department processing policies and procedures Communicate with appropriate Director(s) and/or Executive Management on recommendations for improving efficiency, productivity, quality, and associate development Minimum Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of Commercial Loan Processing and Closing, specifically in SBA lending Strong knowledge of business escrow, real estate escrow, and title processes and requirements Extensive knowledge of the loan process, documentation, requirements, and terminology Bachelors Degree in business administration or equivalent related experience Minimum of two (2) years management experience Ability to promote an inclusive and collaborative team environment Knowledge of all necessary computer applications including, but not limited to, CAFS, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, nCino experience strongly preferred Ability to train, coach, develop, and motivate direct reports Basic knowledge of accounting Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and assignments Professional business etiquette Recommended Skills Accounting Auditing Business Administration Business Etiquette Business Relationship Management Child Adolescent And Family Services Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
