Summary:
We are seeking a Contents Specialist for Stanislaus, Alameda, Santa Clara, and surrounding areas.
This role is an exempt, full time position and reports to the Contents Manager.
The Contents Specialist is part of the claims team and supports the Public Adjuster in response to claims for both Personal and Commercial property losses.
We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable working in a team environment, prides themselves in delivering excellent customer service to our clients, has a strong attention to detail and enjoys working with customers/clients.
The Contents Specialist will have the following duties & responsibilities but not limited to:
Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of the client, Public Adjuster, insurance carrier and all other internal and external customers.
Process requests for contents pricing on behalf of the Public Adjuster.
Contact vendors and resources to obtain needed values on presented claims from clients.
Determine scope of work at the loss site based on damages and working with the Adjuster.
Create job plan and scope of work for Inventory Field Specialist.
Document work in our pre-formatted Excel spreadsheet/template.
Use the internet to research Like Kind Quality (LKQ) replacement value for client's original content belongings as documented in field or supplied by the client.
Adhere to the Property Contents Pricing standards while valuating the Original Contents Lists.
Work in a team environment to solve problems when researching contents, as well as seek aid from supervisor.
Interface with the clients in person and on site.
Managing a file inventory in an organized manner including maintaining an effective diary system and accurately documenting claim activity in system file notes as well as written form to effectively resolve claims.
Establish and maintain favorable working relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
Identify and refer claims with high level exposure to the supervisor as warranted.
Perform administrative functions such as expense accounts, receipt match-up, etc.
as required.
Inspect and record electronically the damaged and destroyed personal property of a homeowner or business owner who has sustained a loss.
You will be required to meticulously record all damaged personal property using a voice recorder and take pictures of all damaged items.
You will be expected to work independent of direct supervision and or in a team environment.
In a timely fashion must be able to handle and complete between 25-75 claims annually in a fast paced, high demand environment.
Willingness to travel (60-75% of time).
Be able to lift and or move heavy objects sometimes more than 50lbs.
Perform other job duties as directed or needed.
Qualifications:
Restoration and/or insurance experience required.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong computer literacy/internet acumen.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word as well as Outlook.
Data entry experience preferred Professional and effective communication skills Excellent customer service skills Working Environment:
Remote At loss site, working inside and outside of property.
You will be expected to work in and around physical structures including climbing on ladder and roofs, crawling in floor-spaces, and/or similar tasks.
Working in conditions that could cause risk to health and body.
Working in harsh environments that are severely damaged by fire, water, mold, etc.
Work conditions may be severe based on weather and severity of damages/ loss.
You may be required to wear protective gear for your safety.
Compensation $70K-$125K DOE; plus, commissions.
