Registered Nurse Practitioner (Wound Care)

The Wound Care Registered Nurse Practitioner (RNP) is a position assigned to Nursing Service.
The incumbent is a wound care expert and is an accessible Nurse Leader who reports directly to the Wound Care Program Director at VA Palo Alto Health Care System.
RNP will also cover Telewound Clinics as needed.
The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates interdisciplinary plans of care for all referred Veterans with wound issues.
Performs specialized procedures, such removal of devitalized tissue, removal of sutures and other procedures as per specialty training, referring complex cases to appropriate treating specialty.
Writes wound care dressing orders and supplies for inpatients and outpatients.
In collaboration with the Director of the Wound Care Program, provides oversight and accountability for staff wound care competencies.
Works collaboratives with the Director of the Wound Care Program to ensure consistency with clinical practices.
Provides coverage to Palo Alto and Livermore Wound Care Clinics as determined by VAPAHCS Wound Care Program Director.
Collaborates on inpatient discharge planning and initiates consults to other services (i.
e.
, Vascular, Podiatry, General Surgery, Plastics, etc.
) Functions as the point of contact for wound care consult, completes CPRS documentation for each patient visit, and responds to patient phone calls, as appropriate.
Uses strong leadership and critical thinking abilities to promote quality patient care standards.
Ability to function both independently and as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team.
Displays sound communication and decision-making skills.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
