Design, development, testing, security and implementation of the companys various SQL Server database servers. Detailed job descriptions include: Analysis, performance tuning, migration of databases. Provide high availability solutions for databases such as, replication, disaster recovery, failover clustering using different platforms and languages such as Visual Studio 2008/2012, SQL Server 2008/2012, SQL Query Analyzer, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Windows Server 2008/2012 etc. Responsible for change managements, create the documentation for SQL Server and service packs installations; Plan, install, configure and maintain the MS SQL Server in Environment of Active/Passive Cluster; Design and implement comprehensive backup plan and disaster recovery strategies; Coordinate with the programmer analyst for optimizing query, writing stored procedures; conduct root cause analysis of application availability and narrow down to issues related to coding practice, database bottlenecks, or network latency; Resolve locking and blocking issues by using various SQL server internal commands. Minimum job requirements: Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and at least one year experience. Must have experience with SQL and Unix Shell scripting.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
