Akima Construction Services is currently looking for an organized and detail oriented construction professional to fill a Superintendent role that supports the site's General Superintendent for a contract with the DOE at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a construction superintendent. We have a complete onsite management team and a full component of union craft labor that is capable of self-performing the vast majority of the construction project types the client looks to ACS to complete. These projects range in value of $50k-$750k and have included basic carpet and paint to heavy electrical upgrades to storm drain replacement to custom build-outs for specific science program.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years experience as a construction superintendent

A degree in Construction Management is a plus - but not required!
Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Ability

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Qualifications:

An Associates or Bachelors in Construction Management is desired

OSHA 10 desired

US Army Corp of Engineers CQCM certifications desired

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of products

Experienced with generating and updating Microsoft Project schedules

Ability to understand manpower forecasting reports in order to anticipate changes in staffing levels.

Adept at using computers (use of a tablet computer to update daily report for each project)
