Criminal Investigator

1. Teaches basic and advanced law enforcement training classes that advance the LETP goals and policy driven metrics; plans, coordinates, directs, conducts and completes field level training and exercises encompassing all aspects of the LETP to include firearms, control tactics (CT), use of force (UOF), tactical medical training (TacMed) and ad hoc training as necessary to meet OI goals 2. Provides initial and periodic UOF, firearms, CT, and TacMed training. Monitors the progress of students and recommends remedial and corrective action for students to assist in maintaining proficiency standards as outlined in OI policy. 3. Conducts research and receives training on emerging law enforcement technologies, techniques, and practices to integrate new methods of instruction and assist in continually evolving the LETP to match case law, policy, and law enforcement trends and best practices. 4. Maintains administrative records and develops policy, SOPs and course curriculums. 5. Provides assistance with law enforcement equipment procurements, including but not limited to ammunition and tactical equipment. 6. Coordinates with the Director of Training and Tactical Programs regarding training, scheduling and operational activities of the LETP. NOTE:
This is a Temporary Promotion Not to Exceed 4 Years. To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Developing, coordination, instruction, and administrative responsibilities for the OI Law Enforcement Training Program (LETP). Creating polices, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training curriculum. Being a liaison and networking with the law enforcement and instructional communities nationwide. Ability to provide technical guidance and assessments related to LETP training while analyzing results. 4. Ability to effectively collaborate, coordinate, and liaison with other law enforcement entities and instructional programs. 5. Ability to maintain training records, administrative files, and equipment inventories in an organized and efficient manner.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
